Taiheiyo Cement build key airports in Visayas





MAJOR infrastructure projects in the Visayas and Mindanao have been built exclusively using the New Grand Portland Cement manufactured by Taiheiyo Cement Philippines Inc. (TCPI) in San Fernando, Cebu.

Among those now being used by the public is the New Bacolod-Silay Airport in Silay City, Negros Occidental that started operations only last Jan. 18, disclosed George Uy, marketing senior manager of TCPI.

Barangay gets water system Residents get solution to water woes

IN response to a request from the Barangay Council of Barangay Panadtaran, San Fernando, Cebu, Taiheiyo Cement Philippines, Inc. (TCPI) has again extended helping hands to their community.

TCPI originally intended to create a livelihood project for the fishermen in the said barangay but also took note of the fact that lack of water has always been a problem for the residents.

Firm donates first aid kits to San Fernando students

TAIHEIYO Cement Philippines Inc. (TCPI) with Solid Earth Development Corp. (SEDC) donated first aid kits to some elementary schools in San Fernando, Cebu.

SEDC’s Hideki Yanagita with TCPI human resources and administration senior manager Esther P. Cola and their community development officers (CDOs) turned over the donations to these schools on July 4 to 11.

2 San Fernando firms plant trees

IN their effort to preserve the environment, two firms in the southern town of San Fernando, Cebu, the Taiheiyo Cement Philippines Inc. (TCPI) and Solid Earth Development Corporation (SEDC), community development group planted 378 seedlings during a tree planting activity held last June 30 in sitio Dubdub, barangay Magsico, San Fernando, Cebu.
