CEMEX wins ‘Grand Master’ at Zero Basura Olympics

CEMEX wins 'Grand Master' at Zero Basura OlympicsAlongside other responsible companies that keep an eye on their businesses to ensure that their operations are eco-friendly, CEMEX bagged the prestigious ‘Grand Master’ award at the Zero Basura Olympics (ZBO) for Business last June 26.

CEMEX’s winning entry was the waste reduction efforts at the APO Cement Plant in Cebu. ZBO recognized CEMEX for its solid waste management program that makes use of residuals as fuel source for its co-processing unit.

ZBO for Business encourages companies among different industries to revisit the way they do business and urge them to set higher standards in terms of waste disposal practices.
