A radio program, initiated by the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB)-7 entitled “Ikaw Ug Ang Mina”, is being aired every Sunday over dyDD 1260 khz (Bantay Radyo) station at 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Companies involved in mining are invited to join the program and talk about their business operations. Two firms in San Fernando, Cebu, the Taiheiyo Cement Philippines, Inc. (TCPI) and Solid Earth Development Corp. (SEDC) were invited to the program recently. Represented by the TCPI-SEDC joint SDMP (Social Development and Management Program) group, the radio show tackled “Corporate Social Responsibility”.

Among the guests were (from left) Gines T. Boltron, Esther P. Cola and Delfin A. Campo who talked to MGB-7 Director Roger de Dios. Also present were (from left, back row) Emylita B. Ortega and Vanessa N. Bongcawil. The said radio appearance had a positive result as MGB-7 made the corporate social responsibility initiatives of TCPI and SEDC as models in Region 7.
