The Philippine Cement Decarbonization Roadmap Validation Workshop was held on 23rd of January through the collaborative efforts of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the European Cement Research Academy (ECRA), and the Cement Manufacturers Association of the Philippines (CeMAP).
The roadmap outlines strategic pathways for reducing greenhouse gas emissions across the Philippine cement industry, including measures on energy efficiency, alternative fuels, clinker reduction, and emerging low-carbon technologies.
The final report is scheduled for completion by the first week of March 2026 and will serve as a key reference for policymakers and industry stakeholders in advancing the sector’s transition toward more sustainable and climate-resilient operations.
