At least 32 employees of Cement Manufacturers’ Association of the Philippines, (CeMAP) Inc. joined the tree-planting activity on February 11, 2023.
The participants, who included staff of City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) – City Government of Pasig and Makinafa-Mananta Farmers, walked a 500 meters stretch from the main road of Barangay Calawis, Antipolo City to the planting site in the same barangay.
They planted at least 70 “mahogany” and “coffee” on a public land.
The purpose of this activity is to improve the environment of the locality. Toward this end, the following objectives are set:
- Inculcate among participants the value of community service and social responsibility.
- Install among participants the importance of protecting and preserving the eco-system.
