The Cement Manufacturers Association of the Philippines (CeMAP) held an Electrical Safety Awareness Seminar and Facility Audit on June 17, 2026, to strengthen hazard awareness and promote a safer workplace.
Supported by Concreat Holdings Philippines Inc. (CHP), the session was led by Mr. Ralph Gerald C. Ambrosio and Mr. Marc Lester Verdaguer, a DOLE-accredited Occupational Safety and Health practitioner and trainer. Participants discussed common electrical hazards, safe work practices, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), proper housekeeping, and the risks associated with cement-dust accumulation.
The audit highlighted priorities including compliance with applicable DOLE safety and health requirements, routine inspections and maintenance, replacement of damaged electrical equipment, prevention of circuit overloading, and further safety training. It also encouraged skills certification for workers and first-aid certification for electricians and maintenance personnel.
Through this initiative, CeMAP reaffirmed its commitment to hazard prevention, continuous improvement, and a zero-harm workplace.
